Summary: Amy Ferris is an author, screen & television writer, a journalist & editor and above all else- a Menopause survivor. You will know her best from her fabulous- and fabulously funny- book: ‘Marrying George Clooney’. Amy loves writing about all things women. She champions, supports, encourages and inspires women through her work, and it’s her fervent wish (and prayer) that all women awaken to their greatness: using their lives fully, with passion, compassion, determination, hope, self-fullness, humor, truth, authenticity, power, boldness, kindness and forgiveness. She wants women to forgive themselves for all those old antiquated belief systems that were instilled and engraved in their lives by others who just didn’t know any better- and helping women do this has become her mission. Amy served on the Board of Directors at Peters Valley Art, Education & Craft Center, and on the Advisory Board of The Women’s Media Center. She is Co-chair of Safe Haven, Inc. – which creates domestic peace for women, children, and men. She joins us today for a candid chat about Menopause, her life philosophy and how Midlife can be a time of horrific challenge -and great blessing!
