Raised with FM Rock, Blackjoy discovered his passion for music through Led Zeppelin, Sonic Youth and Herbie Hancock. Later getting into American jazz, soul, funk, techno, house and latterly disco. He got involved in the French Touch house movement which eventually led him to producing his own records.
