Summary: B.B., one of the few bluesmen to establish himself as a household name, uses the Mixolydian mode (think of it as a major scale with a flat 7th) as a primary ingredient in his influential solo work. Magic things happen when you blend the Mixolydian with the minor pentatonic allowing you to shift between sweet and dark sounds. Dave demonstrates this mind-expanding concept through a B.B. solo.
