Summary: The Boston Red Sox continued their trend of "what are they doing?!" this week as the abysmal month of December continued. The Red Sox introduced Masataka Yoshida during a press conference at Fenway Park on Thursday that again was overshadowed by negativity. To make room for Yoshida, the Red Sox DFA'd Jeter Downs -- who was a key piece in the Mookie Betts trade in 2020. Chaim Bloom also revealed Yoshida likely will lead off, but Yoshida said he is not confident in his abilities to do so.
