Christmas Lessons From Mary - Aby Rinella and Yvette Hampton, Part 3 - Best of Christmas!

Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution show

Summary: When you think about Christmas and the birth of Jesus, do you ever consider Mary? Who was she? How did she react to the news that she would bear the Christ child?  What was it like to be the mother of a perfect child? What pressures did she endure and how did she handle being pregnant without being married or even fully united with her betrothed, Joseph? What kind of support did she have from her family and friends? Was she scared? Join Yvette Hampton and Aby Rinella as they talk about this young girl who literally changed the world by simply saying "Yes" to the Lord. What is He calling YOU to do? How can you be a world changer? And, what lessons can we as homeschool moms learn from Mary? This episode was originally broadcast in 2020. Come back every day this week for the best of our Christmas episodes! We will be back next week with all new episodes and a VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!   Watch this full conversation on our YouTube channel. Yvette Hampton is a homeschool mom through and through, but it wasn’t supposed to be this way. Like so many other homeschoolers, Yvette and her husband, Garritt, said they would NEVER homeschool their kids, but God had other plans. As a mom who is concerned for future generations and for the future of our country, Yvette has a deep passion to see a culture shift by encouraging people through the truth of God’s Word. Her greatest joy in life is being a wife and mom! Aby Rinella is a former public school teacher turned passionate homeschool mom.  Aby resides in the mountains of the west with her college sweetheart and 3 awesome kids where they enjoy all things outdoors. Aby is a writer and speaker seeking to encourage and inspire women to live the life they were designed to live, to train up their children in God’s Word, and to stand on truth in a culture that has lost its foundation.  Scripture Reference: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." "If you are new to homeschooling check out this podcast!! I’ve been feeling like I should homeschool for a couple years but was worried I couldn’t do it. Once the pandemic brought my kids home and I started seeing their emotional health and attitudes improve I decided to finally make the leap. This podcast has really encouraged me to make this a permanent change. Thank you for all your efforts in making this resource available!” - Autumn “I was tearing up at the end of this film being reminded that my children are GIFTS from the Lord. I never want to abdicate my role and responsibility as their Mama. I cannot wait to share this film with everyone once it is released!!” - Amber “We loved the movie and watched it with our children.  It left us encouraged in our choice to homeschool, as well as gave us confidence that we are not "messing" up our children's education or socialization!!” - Danielle   Be the most popular mom in your co-op.
