Summary: When I was in my early twenties, I was living the American dream. I was working my way up the ladder in a corporate job in a big city, and spent my weekends partying with friends. But internally, I was sad. I didn’t feel joy, or peace. I was searching for something more. Then, I found Jesus and received Him as my personal Savior and everything changed. My lifestyle became less “glamorous” – according to how the world defines “glamorous”, and I gave up my corporate job. I moved away from that big city, and many of my party friends didn’t understand what was happening to me. But I felt freedom from guilt, peace and joy. I felt the joy of Christ. When we choose to follow Jesus and when we’re in a relationship with Him, we will experience joy regardless of what our external circumstances look like. The Bible says in Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” That is my prayer for you.
