[102] The Essential Nature of Man

What Does the Word Say? show

Summary: Man has both a material and immaterial part. Monism, which teaches that man is purely material, is unbiblical. Dichotomy teaches that man has both a body and a spirit and this is the biblical view of man. Our spirits go on living after our bodies die, but in the final resurrection our bodies are united with our spirits. The words spirit and soul are used more-or-less interchangeably in the Bible.

http://www.whatdoesthewordsay.org/uncategorized/102-the-essential-nature-of-man/
