Summary: Homily from the Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Church has influence even when it isn’t considered important. We can often confuse influence with importance; authority with power. But the Church has been given the very influence and authority of Jesus Christ. Even when the world does not listen to the voice of the Church, She still has the influence and authority of Jesus.
