Summary: California Gov. Gavin Newsom delivered his state of the state address on Wednesday, Feb. 19, just in time to make it fresh in the minds of voters as they head to the polls on Tuesday, March 3 to choose their preference for the Democratic presidential nominee. California, for all of its beaches, vineyards, and major cities, really knows how to demonstrate what not to do to be a successful state. But that was not stopping Gov. Newsom from touting California as the best in the nation. The thing is, he, like all of the other prominent, long-standing Democrat politicians in California forget how crappy a situation their state has been put in because of the policies they enacted. They have dropped deuce after deuce, but act as if everything is squeaky clean, at least on their ends.
