Resume Tips When Changing Careers

Summary: <p>Changing careers can be challenging.</p> <p>Before you make the change, understand what is sparking the change.</p> <p>Let's review the 4 main types of resumes:</p> <ol> <li>Chronological resume<br> </li> <li>Functional resume<br> </li> <li>Combination resume<br> </li> <li>Job specific / targeted resume<br> </li> </ol> <p>When changing careers we want to combine 3 and 4.</p> <p>Combining the combination resume while targeting specific roles because recruiters will still want to know your work history.</p> <p>Make sure you also highlight your education/certificates/training as it relates to the new career you're looking to move into.</p> <p>When making a change try and talk to people who has made your particular career change.
