Summary: <p>It's not unheard of to get what you think is your dream job and you realize it's not great.</p> <p>Or worse, you hate it.</p> <p>If you've been here for a hot minute you know I'm an advocate for people being happy in their jobs and careers.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>What to do if you've found yourself in this situation:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Take a deep breath</li> <li>Try and find the positive</li> <li>Find the disconnect</li> <li>Chat with your manager / leader</li> <li>Figure out if whatever you don't like is permanent or temporary</li> <li>What enticed you to take the job?</li> <li>Is there anything that could make you happy with your current situation?</li> <li>How long has it been?</li> <li>Soooooo nothing is perfect.
