Of this story he says, “I wrote I Kill Monsters in a single sitting, and then I thought about how lucky I was that I was able to fight off my own monsters in childhood, and how many other kids aren’t as successful.” Of himself he says, “Nathaniel lives in North Carolina with his wife, child, and obligatory cats.
