Summary: <p>Have you ever wondered the difference between a co-op and an intern?</p> <p><strong>Co-ops </strong></p> <ol> <li>Good way to get your foot into the door of a good company you are targeting </li> <li>Can be required, not always and if you’re part of a co-op program you are stopping classes to work full time </li> <li>Paid program </li> <li>Usually lasts about 3-12 months </li> <li>You get school credit </li> <li>Heavily related to your school program / major / area of study </li> <li>Could be part of a rotational program </li> </ol> <p><strong>Interns / Internships </strong></p> <ol> <li>For current students </li> <li>Internships are typically shorter than the co-ops, usually lasting over the summer or fall/spring</li> <li>Compensation - can be paid, unpaid or an exchange for housing or something similar </li> <li>Not typically required </li> <li>Typically not getting school credit </li> </ol> <p>Thank you so much for listening.</p> <p>I would love to connect and learn how I can help you!
