Summary: Imperial Red Ale<br><br>-Color – Deep amber to dark copper/reddish-brown<br><br>-Clarity: Chill haze is acceptable at low temperatures<br><br>-Perceived Malt Aroma &amp; Flavor: Medium to high caramel malt character is present in aroma and flavor. <br><br>-Perceived Hop Aroma &amp; Flavor: High hop aroma and flavor, derived from any variety of hops. Hop flavor is prominent, and balanced with other beer attributes.<br><br>-Perceived Bitterness: Very High<br><br>-Body : Full<br><br>-ABV: 8.0%-10.6%<br><br>-Glassware: Pint Glass <br><br><br>Examples from GABF Winners List 2019<br><br>Gold Medal: Bone Head Imperial Red<br>Fat Head's Brewery &amp; Saloon – North Olmstead, OH <br>9.4 ABV<br><br>Notes from Brewery: We can boldly say that this hoppy red is unlike any other you’ve tried. Hopped-up to the max, deep ruby in color, with a smooth as silk mouthfeel and an almost pungent piney aroma. Malts bone-up their magic with a hearty, biscuity, almost rustic touch of flavor and a slightly bitter fruitiness. A creamy head always tops it off. Bonefide with a gold medal at the GABF.<br><br>A full bodied Imperial Red Ale brewed with a massive amount of Pacific Northwest hops that are complemented by caramel malts.
