Summary: <br> EFFECTIVE<br> <br> <br> <br> What do I mean effective self care. Its an inquiry, I’m after not necessary the answer but asking the question over and over again will give us some insights to what are the effective actions I need to do right now in this situation for me. Everybody deals with self care differently and there are some common questions for oneself to ask so you can grow and expand and take care of yourself and others.<br> <br> <br> <br> SELF CARE<br> <br> <br> <br> I Believe if we are to reliably look at self care we need to look at five areas<br> <br> <br> <br> Emotionally, Mentally, Physically,.Spiritually, Financially,<br> <br> <br> <br> EMOTIONALLY<br> <br> <br> <br> Am I well rested so I can have my emotions not be my emotions? Am I eating healthy foods so my sugar levels stay even and emotions don’t take over? Am I making requests of others to make my journey easier even if it is uncomfortable for me to ask for help? Am I able to delegate some task or ask others to delegate for me?<br> <br> <br> <br> MENTALLY<br> <br> <br> <br> Am I paying particular attention to what I am reading.watching, listening too? Am I paying attention to who or what I associate with? I want to fill my brain with powerful uplifting thoughts and actions? Words create our world our reality. Am I careful what I am putting into my brain? Do I allow others to contribute to me? How can I allow others to contribute to me?<br> <br> <br> <br> PHYSICALLY <br> <br> <br> <br> Am I taking care to exercise, even if all I can do is walk, stretch and not over exert myself? Am I grounding myself by getting out in mother nature daily? If I live with pain am I doing the things that will make me well even if it is painful or uncomfortable?<br> <br> <br> <br> SPIRITUALLY<br> <br> <br> <br> Am I meditating or reading spiritual books to guide and ground me. What structures do I have in place so that I experience my spirituality on a regular bases? Some examples are mediation, being in nature, following religious rituals, yoga. AA. Al-Anon, transformation courses.Music, Church. I know some great church goers that are so righteously good they are no earthly good, Only if you practice your spiritual distinctions can you be peaceful, no judging others! There is all kinds of ways to awaken spirituality,<br> <br> <br> <br> FINANCIALLY<br> <br> <br> <br> We must have our finances in order. Live within our means. That may look like we have to share with others and learn to get along. Get help to learn to budget and get out of debt. I am a firm believer in having an emergency fund to fall back on if you are sick or off of work. I don’t believe in using your charge card as an emergency fund. Pay bills on time. Do you have it set up if you are not well someone can help you pay bills until you are able to do so by yourself?<br> <br> <br> Go for it!  I want on my grave stone she burned out instead of rusted out!  What do you want them to say about you?<br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> Ask yourself are your actions and speaking in alignment with what you are committed to? Look at what are the habitual patterns that have that commitment thwarted?  Are you willing to take responsibility for when it doesn’t go that way you want or the way you expected and clean up your part? Are you willing to let go of Expectations of yourself and others?  What are you not being truthful about to yourself and others.<br> <br> <br> <br> Our thoughts can be like a junk drawer-we need to take inventory and get rid of what is  not useful!
