Summary: In June of 2016 Katherine Maher became executive director of the Wikimedia Foundation and almost immediately there was a renewed spirit of excitement and positivity about the future of the movement. Over the past 10 months this energy has continued to flow, reaching more corners of the planet and the vast array of ideas and projects within the wikiverse.
