He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Systematic Theology, The Journal for Theological Interpretation, and Pro Ecclesia and is the North American Consultant for the second edition of the New Dictionary of Theology (IVP). He has lectured on four continents, most recently in Brazil. In 1999 he appeared on the cover of Christianity Today as one of “the new theologians.” He was the 2003 Westmont College Alumnus of the Year.
