Summary: Few scholars have had a greater influence on the academic study of American civil-military relations than Dr. Peter Feaver. But Dr. Feaver’s career has reached far beyond the campus of Duke University, where he is a professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy and director of the American Grand Strategy Program. The author and editor of several books and innumerable papers on national security, he has also served twice on the National Security Council staff and as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
