Summary: <h4>Summary </h4> <p>Socialization in Japan is harder than in major cities in the United States, but probably about the same as for people who live in small cities. We rely on a mix of Internet and real-life groups to meet new people. People who are in Japan for a short stay only can sometimes still make good activity friends. We talk about Rasta’s socialization–how he didn’t end up being completely isolated as a 16-year-old who wasn’t in school. Kisstopher talks about how being Black in Japan affects her socializing. </p>
