The Curious case of the Religion-LESS child

Grown Soul and Real Talk show

Summary: GSRT Wednesday night live forum We have two kids that are 14 and 16. We have always raised our kids in the church, the same way we were. Our older daughter came to us and said that she no longer wants to attend our church. She feels it no longer makes sense to her and wants to explore other religions—she is searching. We took her to our pastor and he’s been meeting and talking with her, but she feels the same. My husband said “no”— she will keep going to church with us, but I feel at 16 if she is conflicted, and has talked with our pastor and still feels this way, we should let her explore it. My husband and I have been arguing behind closed doors about it, meanwhile he has been making her go to church but she just sits there and barely participates anymore. I'm stuck between my husband and daughter - any advice how to work through this?   Mature Talk for Mature Times, this is an open dialogue for Men and Women of all ages, open communication and straight forward talk.
