Summary: Finding political common ground in North Carolina is an art, and Gov. Roy Cooper (D)—now in his third year as the state’s chief executive—is working his brushstrokes. Cooper is increasingly finding consensus. Perhaps his greatest feat, however, is remaining diplomatic on North Carolina’s many college basketball allegiances; we can’t say the same about Daniella.
