The Blind Biohacker: Change And Heal Your Brain Using Neuroplasticity, Confronting Ancestral Trauma, And Psychedelics — Victor Mifsud | #060

Bio Alchemy: The Spiritual Biohacking Podcast show

Summary: Victor Mifsud calls himself the Blind Biohacker, and is my guest on today's episode of the Bio Alchemy podcast. Victor is legally blind, and at one point in his life was told that he was going to lose his sight completely by the age of 30. However, he didn't accept that diagnosis, and through the power of citizen science and his own research, he sought out non-mainstream alternative therapies to heal his eyesight. Not only did his vision not degenerate further, but now at the age of 40, he's regained over 30% of his vision, by learning how to biohack his biology. Victor also suffered from learning issues from a young age, which he learned to conquer through the emerging science of neuroplasticity — basically, learning how to remap and change the brain, to make it work better than it ever has before. Neuroplasticity is also the focus of Victor's documentary "My Neuroplastic Adventure", where he records his journey of improving his learning skills, as well as bringing himself back from the brink of total blindness, through the power of biohacking and alternative healing practices. In this episode, we talk about Victor's story and his condition of retinitis pigmentosa, which he was told was going to strip his sight, we talk about neuroplasticity and why this is so powerful in changing the human brain for the better, we also discuss his learning difficulties and how he's overcome them, how he improved his eyesight when doctors told him that was effectively impossible, how not using your eye muscles can lead to atrophy, how junk light and electronic devices are so damaging to our eyesight, how somatic therapy, sound healing, and psychedelics have impacted his life, how the human brain is programmed in early life, how unresolved trauma manifests into disease, how we are being controlled by our subconscious mind, and so much more. I'm not understating it when I say that this may be the most important episode of my podcast to date, simply because it shows the power of biohacking and citizen science, and what's possible in the health and medical field when people don't accept a general medical diagnosis. Victor's story of being told that he was going to go blind, then defying the odds and improving his vision after being told it would get worse to the point of never seeing again, is the perfect example of why I do what I do and share this podcast with the world. It's to empower each and every one of you with the knowledge that your health is first and foremost in your own hands. As mentioned in this episode, Victor's documentary "My Neuroplastic Adventure" is available in Canada via the AMI website, and will be showing at Flowfest in Germany on the 6th of July 2019.   VICTOR'S INSTAGRAM: @blindbiohacker MAPS: https://maps.org/  "THE BRAIN THAT CHANGES ITSELF" BOOK: https://amzn.to/2Eat8Q6  "TAKE OFF YOUR GLASSES AND SEE" BOOK: https://amzn.to/2Q4qz6V  "SCATTERED MINDS" BOOK: https://amzn.to/30kww4h  "HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MIND" BOOK: https://amzn.to/2VpMQx9  "THE JUNGLE PRESCRIPTION" DOCUMENTARY: https://bit.ly/2WSBJhq    CONNECT Connect with Leon The Alchemist online for more intensive biohacking, longevity, and performance advice daily, with exclusive content you won't find anywhere else: INSTAGRAM: @LeonTheAlchemist | https://www.instagram.com/leonthealchemist  TWITTER: @AlchemistLeon | https://twitter.com/alchemistleon LINKTREE: https://linktr.ee/leonthealchemist WEBSITE: http://bioalchemy.co COURSE: http://bio.ax/    LEARN Want to take your biohacking skills to the next level?
