ImprovLA - Episode 4 - Scenework (Lesson 1)

ImprovLA show

Summary: Hosted by Keith Saltojanes. The emphasis of all of long form improvisation is the scenework. You are supposed to get on stage and perform a scene with nothing planned at all, yet make it look as if it was a scripted piece of theatre. Sounds impossible? It is...unless you have some guidelines. In episode 4 of ImprovLA, Keith talks about what you need to know before starting an improv scene. He explains the three types of scenes, and the two things that happen in EVERY show when someone steps on stage. What's the most important part of the scene. Listen to find out. (P.S. The answer is the first 10 seconds).
