We talk about the controversial “Boy General” George Armstrong Custer from New Rumley, Ohio and “Little Miss Sure Shot” Annie Oakley of Darke County, Ohio. Two of the biggest celebrities of the 19th Century. Attorney Jason Lucas comes on to talk about Custer’s youth in New Rumley, Ohio and his sterling Civil War record as a cavalry commander. History Professor and Podcast Host, Brady Crytzer comes on to breakdown Custer’s career in the West as an Indian fighter. We analyze what mistakes were made that led to the crushing and complete defeat of Custer and the 7th Cavalry at the Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876. Editor-in-Chief of Echoes Magazine, Bill Eichenberger joins the show to talk about the famous female sharpshooter and celebrity, Annie Oakley.
