KOLR10 News Podcast show

Summary: March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Jenifer Abreu talked to Dr. John Trombold, a colorectal surgeon at CoxHealth about the signs, symptoms, screenings, and treatments for colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed type cancer in the U.S. and the second leading cause of cancer death in men and women combined. The American Cancer Society estimates 101,420 people will be diagnosed with colon cancer in 2019, and 44,180 will be diagnosed with rectal cancer. And 51,020 will die from the disease. The good news is screenings can catch it early and it is treatable.
