Summary: <p>Richard Rothstein, a fellow of the <a href="https://haasinstitute.berkeley.edu/" target="_blank">Haas Institute</a> at UC Berkeley and author of <em>The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How our Government Segregated America, </em>gave a lecture on Feb. 6, 2019, about the forgotten history of how federal, state and local policy segregated metropolitan areas nationwide, creating racially homogenous neighborhoods in patterns that violate the Constitution and require remediation.
