Summary: As the NFL regular season comes to a close, John and James continue to reflect on the fantasy season post mortem. The guys reflect on some of their own predictions going into the 2018 fantasy season, starting in Part I with the calls they got right (check out Part I: Mr. Right for their correct calls). The SuperFriends were right to be SuperHigh on Jared Goff, Matt Ryan, James White, Chris Carson, Phillip Lindsay, Kenny Golladay and George Kittle, and they were right to be low on Matthew Stafford, Jameis Winston, Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota, Rashaad Penny, LeSean McCoy, Allen Robinson and Josh Gordon. But HOW exactly did they see it coming? And how can fantasy players identify the same indicators in future seasons? The guys revisit their preseason hypotheses in an effort to establish a repeatable process of projections. Then, in Part II, they look at the calls they got wrong in 2018, and attempt to diagnose the flaws in their processes that led to those poor calls. They were wrong to be so excited for Case Keenum, Tom Brady, Carlos Hyde, David Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Chris Hogan and others, and missed the mark by fading Pat Mahomes, Andrew Luck, Melvin Gordon, Todd Gurley, Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs and more. What can fantasy players look for in those flawed predictions that will help make better assumptions in the future? And armed with a fresh perspective and a little humility, “The Brain” and “The Dude” each have a few way-to-early 2019 predictions on Baker Mayfield, Russell Wilson, Josh Rosen, Lamar Jackson, Amari Cooper and Saquon Barkley… but will an improved process be enough to see them come to fruition?
