Summary: Bodegas Bilbainas is one of Rioja’s most historic wineries dating to 1859 when French wine producers escaping the ravages of phylloxera established a winery in Haro in the region of Rioja Alta. In 1901 a group of businessmen from Bilbao purchased the winery and renamed it Bodega Bilbainas.
