Summary: The holidays can be stressful. But you don’t have to be stressed out. Both Stoicism and Buddhism offers a way to deal with stress. As Epictetus says, “Some things are within our power, while others are not.” Don’t worry about the stuff not within our power, it is none of our business. From Buddhism we learn to do a body scan meditation. Here we scan the body with our awareness and relax any tension in the body.
