Making Sense of the US Elections: Tocqueville, Twain, & Trump

Shakespeare and Company show

Summary: Join us for a freewheeling discussion of the 2016 elections with Lex Paulson, a veteran of the 2008 Obama campaign and U.S. Congress, currently professor of rhetoric at Sciences Po-Paris. In addition to talking through the polls and strategies of the two major candidates, we'll take some much-needed wisdom from Alexis de Tocqueville's Democracy in America and Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn to understand America in 2016. Open to all nationalities and political persuasions.
