This feeling could be based on a wrong belief based on bad programming combined with the impatience that results from doubting the progress you are actually making. As you have probably found in life, just treating the symptoms of any ailment will likely make you feel better for a little while but will fail in the long run. But it takes a lot more time and energy to treat the source of the problem, but the healing will remain long term if you go about it the right way. You may never get the result you want if you are too impatient to stick with healing the source of your issues, but if you are persistent and you are using the right tools, that healing will come. You are almost certainly healing even if you don’t feel it, so do not be discouraged if weeks, months, or years go by before you finally turn the corner. If you are trying to achieve healing through your willpower or based on wrong goals that come from your expectations, you will experience immediate chronic stress that will result in physical and mental imbalances. These imbalances can lead you to this feeling that you aren’t making progress, which is leading you to sabotage your healing efforts.
