Summary: Beating Depression Coffee Break With KA & Dana: Meaningful Conversations From A Lesbian Perspective The National Alliance on Mental Illness has reported that "LGBTQ individuals are almost three times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition such as major depression or generalized anxiety disorder." In this episode, KA and Dana discuss the topic of depression in our community with an emphasis on strategies to beat it. Topics covered include reasons why more LGBTQ individuals might be depressed, things that someone who is depressed can do to feel better, and things friends/family can do to help them.  KA is an author of lesbian romance with degrees in counseling, psychology, and social work.
