Summary: At the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month 1918 the guns fell silent on the Western Front, as the armistice was signed bringing World War 1 to an end. On the 100th anniversary of the armistice, the Reverend Stephen Briggs delivers a reflection on the importance of Remembrance Day, and how people of faith can serve veterans, service personnel and their families. Stephen is the parish priest at St Oswald's Anglican Church in Banyo, and is the Navy Chaplain for Southern Queensland based at HMAS Moreton in Bulimba. He is also a chaplain with the Mission to Seafarers at the Port of Brisbane.
