Clothed In The Lamb show

Summary: Show notes Episode 9 of Clothed in the Lamb is sponsored by Audible.com. Check out two great offers for our listeners here! Big thanks to Tammy Bollinger, DeniseinChina, and VillagerTune for their 5-star reviews on iTunes! Thanks to Carla for her comments on the show notes page. HUGE thanks to Coggie of the High Fiber Diet Podcast for mentioning both the podcast and my new pattern in her most recent episode! Give her a listen. We now have 100 listeners in our Ravelry group! Yarnin': I am still knitting Second Spring in Frog Tree Alpaca Sport. My new pattern, Aspen Tam and Toppers, is finished and is now available for immediate download on Ravelry and right here on this site. If you are interested in doing a Knit-A-Long with the Aspen Tam, please express your interest in the Aspen Tam KAL thread on Ravelry. I finished my own Cedar Leaf Shawlette. I've been spinning a merino - seacell blend. I bought the Louet seacell at the Yarn Barn in Lawrence, KS. I plan to use this yarn to knit the Jardin Ruffled Cardi. Later this month, I'll be joining a group of spinners and weavers from The Recycled Lamb in doing a sheep-to-shawl demonstration with artist Allison Smith at the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art. Last year at the Estes Park Wool Market, this team took first place in the sheep-to-shawl competition. How'd Ya Do That?: How to make your own electric bobbin winder. Adventures in Listening: I'm listening to Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy: A Righteous Gentile vs. the Third Reich by Eric Metaxas for the second time. Meanwhile, I have just downloaded Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Casts Off: The Yarn Harlot's Guide to the Land of Knitting. Remember, Audible.com has two great offers for Clothed In The Lamb listeners. You can find out more about both of those here. In My Opinion: I review the Spring 2011 issue of Interweave Knits. My hits include: V-Yoke Cardigan, Swirl Crop Jacket (click here for a picture), Leaf and Picot Cardigan, Rose Lace Stole, Tatiana's Sweater (click here for a picture), Ruched Yoke Tee (reminiscent of the Citron Shawl), Gossamer Smocked Tunic (click here for a picture). Patterns I considered misses: Gathered Front Tank, Diminishing Gore Skirt (click here for a picture), Lara Bubble Top. Mandarin Minute: This episode's word, xiexie means "thank you." It is pronounced in the fourth tone. Lovely: I'm falling in love with Alpaca yarn, specifically Frog Tree Alpaca Sport. Prayer Shawl: Robin requested prayer for her friend J who is in a difficult marital situation. She also requested prayer for Susan of the KnitaJourney podcast.  SusieKnitster would like prayer for her sister who is in the midst of a divorce. Thankfulgirl asks for prayer as she has had a headache for 6 years. Please also pray for my friend Shelly who has just undergone a double mastectomy for breast cancer. If you would like prayer for you or someone you know, you may post your request on the Prayer Shawl thread of the Clothed In The Lamb group forum at Ravelry.com. Optionally, you may e-mail your request directly to me at podcast@clothedinthelamb.com. Share as much or as little as you wish, and I look forward to praying for you.
