Lessons From The Biggest Blue Wave of the 2018 Election

Summary: Colorado used to be a reliably Republican state -- but in this midterm election, progressives engineered a full and complete takeover of the entire state government. Democrats won the governorship, the state House, the State Senate, and every statewide constitutional office. It was the first time in at least 80 years Democrats have had this kind of power in Colorado. On this episode, I talked to Ian Silverii of the progressive Colorado group ProgressNow. We discussed how progressives engineered their big night in Colorado, and what lessons there are for other states. We also discussed how the oil and gas industry spent roughly $40 million to defeat ballot measures designed to reduce drilling and fracking. And we discussed what Democrats should do with their legislative power.
