WiSP Sports show

Summary: On day 11 of the FEI World Equestrian Games, Chris Stafford talks to double gold medalist Britain’s Sophie Wells MBE who has now won five WEG medals in her career, which she underlined with her freestyle performance today riding the 11 year old Dutch warmblood gelding C Fatal Attraction. We hear how the partnership prepared for this games and what it means to her now that Team GB has qualified to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. With the driving marathon taking place today it was a great day’s sport and very hot conditions again as the jumpers had a day off. Irish journalist Louise Parkes joins Chris to discuss the jumping competition so far and share her thoughts on the final individual competition tomorrow with Germany’s Simone Blum leading the top 25 riders to battle it out for the medals with just one fence dividing the top group.
