Episode 2: Noon Fifteen on Ithaca Is Music

Ithaca Is Music show

Summary:
You’re listening to Ithaca Is Music, the stories behind the songs. We’re exploring the local music scene here in Ithaca, New York. Located in the Finger Lakes and home to Cornell University, this small town is full of talented musicians. We intend to ask them questions about their craft and have them perform in front of our live audience.

Progressive soul band Noon Fifteen blends rich vocal harmonies, vintage keyboard and guitar tones, and funk-tinged bass and drum grooves into catchy, original songs that are full of surprises. Based in Ithaca, New York, the five-piece is influenced by 1960s California and Liverpool, 1970s Memphis and New Orleans, and the DIY ethos of the internet-powered independent music scene.

A quick note on our format:

• The first song they wrote or performed with their current band.
• The song they identify as their greatest achievement or most inspirational moment as an artist
• The song their fans identify them with them or their most popular song
• And finally a new song or a song they would like to debut on our show.

Then the artists will take over the stage and perform the rest of their set.

This week’s episode is sponsored by: Realtor Melynda Wissar!
