Anna Eshoo and Sen. Dianne Feinstein to allege that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were both teenagers in suburban Maryland in the early 1980s. The accusations remained anonymous until the </span><a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/california-professor-writer-of-confidential-brett-kavanaugh-letter-speaks-out-about-her-allegation-of-sexual-assault/2018/09/16/46982194-b846-11e8-94eb-3bd52dfe917b_story.html?utm_term=.c0bbf74d74e2"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Washington Post broke the story on September 16</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.  In the two weeks since that story broke, Americans have reacted strongly to the allegations and partisan confirmation process.
