Summary: The Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets 20-12 this past weekend. The Jets came in looking to capitalize on their surprising start to the season against the Lions. But Ryan Tannehill went 17/23 for 168 yards and 2 TDs and Frank Gore did some heavy lifting for the Fins this week. Gore passed Curtis Martin to take the 4th spot on the career rushing list. He got the first down on a crucial 3rd and 19 late in the game on a pass from Tannehill that essentially sealed the deal. Kenbyan Drake also added a TD for the Dolphins. The Dolphins led 20-0 at the half, but the Jets slowly climbed back into this led by their rookie QB Sam Darnold who finished the game 25/42 for 334 yards with 1 TD but 2 interceptions.
