Summary: I recently read a commentary on Revelation 7:3 that gave two meanings for the “Seal of God.” It suggested that the sealing takes place by God either withdrawing believers from the earth in the rapture, or by him giving them special power to make it through the time of the great tribulation.... If this is the case, what is the purpose of sealing believers and leaving them here to endure the tribulation?
