Summary: Lindsey Barbour intviews Hailet Rae from Aware Tulsa. Aware Tulsa was founded in the wake of the officer involved shooting death of Eric Harris. They are a part of SURJ international; a group that believes in equality and justice for all people. They are based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and believe that organizing against racism is vital to the health and prosperity of our community. As a group of mostly white folks, Aware Tulsa acknowledges the privilege from which they benefit in a society that values whiteness above all else, and commit to leveraging those privileges in the fight against racism, inequality, and white supremacy.
