Summary: Despite a strong, strong run by Avengers: Infinity War, it seemed inevitable that Deadpool 2 would jump to the top of the box office in its opening weekend. This was, after all, a sequel to one of the most surprising summer hits of the last few years. But success brings with it higher expectations, and nobody was really sure if Deadpool 2 could maintain the momentum of its predecessor, least of all our podcast stars.
