Summary: TV Host and personality Danni Washington is deeply passionate about our oceans and science communications.<br><br> She dreamed of studying the oceans since she was six years old and now in addition to her career as a scientist and onscreen personality she keeps busy with <a href="http://bigblueandyou.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Big Blue & You</a> – A non-profit organization she founded with her Mother that is dedicated to inspiring and educating youth about marine conservation through the arts and media. Their motto is “Ocean Conservation through Artistic Inspiration” and both the organization and Danni herself serve as a great example of how fun and fascinating science can be.<br> We caught up with Danni at the Ocean Heros Boot Camp where we created social media campaigns on banning single use straws and connected with other young environmental activists.<br>
