Summary: <p>Keith O’Brien discusses his new book, <em>Fly Girls: How Five Daring Women Defied All Odds and Made Aviation History</em>. Between the world wars, airplane racing became a hugely popular sport. Male pilots were hailed as brave heroes, while female pilots were more often more ridiculed than praised.
