Recently retired, Ambassador McHenry was a Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Before teaching at Georgetown, Ambassador McHenry was the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations. He has also held a variety of positions in the State Department, as well as fellowships with the Brookings Institution and the Council on Foreign Relations.
