Earlier this year, Ambassador Brzezinski was appointed by President Obama to serve as Executive Director of the United States’ Arctic Executive Steering Committee. Prior to that, Ambassador Brzezinski was the US Ambassador to Sweden. Under President Clinton, Ambassador Brzezinski served on the National Security Council staff, first as Director for Russia and Eurasia, and then as Director for the Balkans. He received his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, a law degree at the University of Virginia Law School, a Doctorate in political science from Oxford University, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Warsaw, Poland.
