Allyson Felix on Friendship, Olympics, Adversity and Overcoming EP 04

Show Me Your Friends show

Summary: Allyson Felix (@af85) is an Olympic gold medalist sprinter and the most decorated female track and field Olympian in U.S. history with a total of nine Olympic medals. She is the only female track and field athlete to ever win six Olympic gold medals. On the track,, Allyson is fierce competitor, but off of it, she is a humble, soft-spoken, loving friend and active role model. Having met Allyson in 2010, Justine had a front row seat to not just one, but two of her Olympic journeys, both of which were nothing short of incredible. She has also had the opportunity to volunteer alongside her in the community and witness firsthand what a well-rounded human being she is. In this episode, Justine and Allyson talk about what it’s like to be the greatest to ever do something, what it takes to not only make an Olympics, but also to stay at the top of her sport, her early dreams of being a gymnast, the journey and hardships she has faced, from injury to loss, and how her tight inner circle has been by her side every step of the way to help her overcome.
