Summary: The team finds their way to the first waypoint mentioned in Halukeem Zan’s journal, a giant obelisk in the middle of the jungle. And as Zan’s journal also warned, it’s guarded by flying scorpion-bat-monkey critters. The monkeys don’t seem like they’re going to pose much of a challenge until the party runs into a surprise Zan kinda forgot to mention – a 10-ton, mind-controlling, paralysis-inducing plant-creature guarding the site.
