Genzan Quennell: SESSHIN: The Song of the Jewel Mirror Samadhi (Part 3 of 3)

Upaya Zen Center's Dharma Podcast show

Summary: Episode Description: In the final episode of this sesshin, Sensei Genzan finishes his look at the Jewel Mirror Samadhi by exploring the final lines that ask us to practice like a fool. Genzan explains that stories of wise fools are all throughout Zen literature. Genzan gives us the story of Shantideva, a foolish student who possessed wisdom even his teachers failed to recognize. Sensei Genzan shows us that to attain the Way is not a matter of knowledge, but rather the experience of reality as it is. As Genzan closes the final full day of sesshin, he leaves us with his final reminder that, “just this is it.”
To help keep these podcasts freely available, we hope you will consider making a suggested donation of $25 to our Dharma Podcast Fund.

For Series description, please visit Part 1.
To access the entire series, please click on the link below:

Upaya Podcast Series: Sesshin: The Song of the Jewel Mirror Samadhi
