Summary: Hog & Rocks’ Scott Youkilis is still adjusting to the idea of not owning a restaurant in the Mission. The role is the only thing he’s known for more than a decade, going back to his Maverick days. Since 2010, when he and partner Dave Esler remodeled a run-down building on the corner of 19th and San Carlos, Youkilis has run Hog & Rocks there, a neighborhood hangout known for oysters, whiskey and a lively late-night crowd.
